The Henri Cartier-Bresson Award

For those of you who are fans of my TD Photography and Power of SHe pages on FB (at and respectively) this will be old news.  Just the same, I felt the need to publicly thank the folks – especially Stephanie Meyer who actually put the time in writing the nomination – at the Avenue Community Center for nominating me for the prestigious Henri Cartier-Bresson Award.

The Foundation Henri Cartier-Bresson puts together a jury comprised of seven highly respected individuals from the art world every two years to evaluate projects and artists for the HCB Award.  Artists from around the globe can be nominated by a variety of community organizations and art galleries.  The chosen project then must be completed and ready for exhibition in Paris within 14 months.  Being nominated is a huge honor, and winning would mean my Power of SHe project could truly take on a life of it’s own.  This award would allow me to go places and photograph individuals I could only dream of including.  It really would be a game changer.

So, a huge thank you to Stephanie and the ACC who believe in both me and my work.  This nomination means more to me than you likely realize!  Thank you!
